Whispering Oaks Ranch hosted its first wedding in the summer of 2005, and every year since we have continued to make additions and improvements to our beautiful facilities, providing an elegant, yet relaxing setting for the perfect destination wedding! The typical wedding season at Whispering Oaks runs from late May thru mid October. At 8,000 ft elevation, our location provides an ideal outdoor, summer wedding with central access to a number of outdoor activities in the Moab area.

Plan the Perfect Wedding with our Flexible Wedding Venue Options:

- A 55,000 sq ft lawn on our 50-acre private mountain property offering gorgeous views of the La Sal Mountain Peaks.
- Micro-wedding event space and accomodation available at no additional charge with the lodging of our 3 small cabins (Grey Dawn, Wildflower and Sagewood, accommodating 6-10 overnight guests) and the Cedar Bend Lodge Cabin.
- The comfortable and spacious Cedar Bend Lodge Cabin, provides a beautiful setting for a micro-wedding, accommodates 12-24 overnight guests in 6,000 sq ft of living space, 6 bedrooms, each with private bathrooms, covered porches and open decks. Our detached deck with spectacular views of the La Sal Mountain Peaks, is ideal for a small wedding ceremonies.

Whispering Oaks Ranch fits a wedding of ten or two hundred. Reserve all seven cabins and the whole 50-acre ranch is yours for the weekend or plan a smaller beautiful wedding at any time of the year.

Micro-Wedding at Cedar Bend Lodge
- Reserve Cedar Bend Lodge, plus nearby cabins as you need them, for lodging and venue space together.
- The 6,000 sq ft lodge and its outside decks give you mountain views for an intimate ceremony and reception.
- Event space comes at no additional charge with lodging in Cedar Bend Lodge and our three small cabins.
- All event guests stay in the onsite cabins you reserve.

Pavilion and Great Lawn
- Reserve all seven cabins and our covered pavilion (additional fee).
- The pavilion sits in the middle of a 55,000 sq ft lawn facing the La Sal Mountain peaks.
- Hold your ceremony anywhere on the lawn or at the ceremony deck.
- Up to 65 guests stay overnight on the ranch.

Winter Wedding Options
- Held at Cedar Bend Lodge after the pavilion closes in mid October.
- Blue skies and clear views, above the usual Moab valley inversion.
- A crackling fireplace in the lodge and a hot tub with a view at every cabin.
- We recommend AWD or 4WD for winter travel.
What Comes with the Wedding Pavilion
Reserve the covered pavilion and your outdoor venue is ready for a ceremony, dinner and dancing:
- 1,800 sq ft covered pavilion with two decks
- Canvas shades that enclose the pavilion in bad weather
- Ceremony deck on the upper lawn
- Seating for up to 200, with round and long banquet tables, folding chairs and white table linens
- Stage, sound system and a 12 x 18 ft dance floor
- Caterer's prep room with two refrigerators and a chest freezer
- Two industrial-size gas BBQ grills, a bar and drink tubs
- Cafe lights, ceiling fans, a campfire pit, and heaters when you need them
- High-speed wireless internet
Lodging for Your Wedding Guests
Seven private cabins sleep up to 65 guests, so the people closest to you can stay right where the wedding happens. Every cabin has its own private hot tub, a fireplace and high-speed Wi-Fi.
- Cedar Bend Lodge: 12 to 24 guests in six bedrooms, each with a private bathroom
- Lonebranch and Jaydee’s Run: 8 to 12 guests each
- Daybreak: 4 to 6 guests
- Grey Dawn and Wildflower: 2 to 4 guests each
- Sagewood: 2 to 3 guests
Inviting more than 65? Your other guests can stay in Moab, a 30 to 45 minute drive from the ranch.
What a Wedding Here Costs
Every wedding is quoted for your dates, your guest count and the cabins you reserve. Here is how the pricing works.
- Lodging: cabins are priced by the night and rates vary by season. See each cabin for current pricing, or ask us for a quote.
- Pavilion: an additional fee applies when you reserve the covered pavilion. Please call for most recent prices
- Deposit: $1,500, non-refundable, applied to your reservation balance.
- Minimum stay: weddings of more than 35 guests reserve the entire property for at least two nights, or three nights on a holiday weekend.
- Ways to save: discounts may be offered for extended stays and mid-week reservations, and we offer discounted pricing in July and August.

Weddings in Every Season
High in the La Sal Mountains, the ranch stays cooler than the Moab valley through the summer. The pavilion is open from late May to mid October, and Cedar Bend Lodge hosts smaller weddings the rest of the year.

Most couples like to see the ranch in person before they book. Send us an inquiry and ask about a visit.
For the day itself, our vendor list covers wedding planners and day-of coordinators, caterers, bartenders, DJs, florists, photographers, rentals and shuttle services. Every one has worked a past event here and knows the property.
The ranch is on the La Sal Mountain Loop Road, about 20 miles southeast of downtown Moab, a 30 to 45 minute drive. Grand Junction, Colorado is 2 to 2.5 hours away. GPS can be unreliable outside Moab, so share our printable map and directions with your guests.

Our Property and Location
Our beautiful 50-acre, private property is situated on the west side of the La Sal mountains, and backs up to miles of public, forest service land. Each of our seven luxurious cabins is nestled in it’s own area of the property affording privacy and quiet, a true respite from city life.
